I like the 2 pounds powder agare agare. I use it in many dishes: sauces and deserts. I always thought that this product is expensive but if you buy 2 pounds, it is a better deal.

Here is my first try at agar plates for mycology. This one is water agar so I dyed it blue. I also made some potato water agar, I dyed it green. Last I made malt exstract agar, left it natural color. All of them are working great using simple containers with snap lids. The Agar product dissolves very well, I bring the water up to a simmer for a few minutes before adding to a flask for sterilization. This agar works well for simple home hobby mycology.

This company got my item delivered in three days, the gelatin meets my needs as I use it for baking and making gummy bears. They also are the cheapest in postal charges as they aren’t ripping people off by charging more. The fourth best about this product was its halal or some call it kosher, which all Jews and Muslims abide by. But the very best part is that it is gluten free, don’t think you can mess around and skip that part since gluten is the #1 cause of anxiety! I only buy certified gluten free items, and this gelatin will perform the same as any other, but it won’t make you sick! This company gets 10 stars from me!

I used this product to stabilize heavy whipping cream for cake frosting. It worked great. No more deflated whipping cream. It didn’t seem to have any unusual flavor, and I was happy that it had an expiration date of two years.

When I first started using agar I was so confused on which to buy, flakes or powder etc. I purchased this type and brand based on reviews and I was not disappointed! It’s very easy to use and depending on what you’re making, a little goes a long way. I have been vegan for 10 years and this makes a great vegan option for a thickener/stabilizer. I love using it for a vegan cheese!

This is the perfect Agar for Mycology! Non GMO 100% red algae. Clean and clear, perfect consistency without clumping for petri dishes and no pour jars. We have done a ton of research and used many different brands, Living Jin Agar is by far superior to anything we have used in the past. It is our "go to" Agar.

This is my only agar powder, and I have used it for more than 2 years.
I don't switch to other brands for agar powder. The powder has no flavor, so it's easy to mix different flavors. Also, make sure the powder dissolves well when preparing. I made many types of jellies. The current jelly I made was a giant "donut" fruit jelly. Here are the 3 layers combined with red dragon fruit & longan flavor.

This is my first time trying Agar Agar and I'm so happy I did! The item came super fast, had great packaging and a cute note from the company.
